Viajamos con una pareja de amigos y su pequeño de 2 años. Nuestra experiencia en la preciosa casa de Irene ha sido maravillosa!!! Para empezar la casita es tal y como se ve, con todos los detalles cuidados al máximo, súper limpia y ordenada, además nos estaba esperando en la cocina un delicioso bizcocho casero hecho por ella de chocolate que estaba realmente bueno! La zona ajardinada así como la de la piscina son super bonitas, todo súper verde y cuidado, se nota que cuidan y miman mucho el entorno, además tiene mascotas que son adorables!! Ella como anfitriona es genial, realmente amable y divertida! Hace que tu estancia allí sea fabulosa! Sin duda repetiremos y recomendamos a cualquier persona que se aloje en este pequeñito oasis verde en la alpujarra granadina.

From the moment we arrived at Cortijo El Grillo, we were made to feel so welcome by Irene and Paco! There was a selection of eggs, homemade chocolate cake (which was amazing!) and water waiting for us after a long drive from the airport. We were instantly made to feel like we were home with everything that we could possibly need during our stay - everything exceeded our expectations, including the rooms, swimming pool, outdoor cooking area (many pizza nights were enjoyed out there!), and the overall garden space. Cortijo El Grillo is a very private space even though our wonderful hosts were also on site - if you ever needed anything, they were always on hand to accommodate - we will definitely be coming back!

We recently stayed at Irene and Paco’s amazing property and wished we had booked for longer. It was extremely comfortable and looks exactly as in the photos, if not better and bigger. The attention to details and little extras on arrival were a lovely surprise. We have never stayed anywhere where the host has been present before, however Irene and Paco were extremely welcoming, and although they live close by, they completely respect your space and privacy. So with that in mind we would give them a 10/10 for hosting and would not hesitate to return as we are already missing our funny conversations.

Hemos pasado unos días genial. Todo ha sido estupendo! La ubicación, la casa, la piscina… pero lo mejor de todo han sido los anfitriones y su perro Zeus! Nos han hecho sentir como en nuestra propia casa!!! Muchas gracias por todo Irene y Paco!!!!

Wow! Where to start?! This was the most perfect getaway for me and my two friends. Irene and Paco were fantastic hosts. Going above and beyond when we got lost (due to my failure with the sat nav, not Irene’s directions) coming to find us in the early hours of the morning. We were welcomed by the extras of delicious home made bread, cake and eggs from the chickens. There wasn’t anything that was a problem for them. The property itself is just stunning 😍 the bedrooms so comfortable and the outdoor eating area was perfect for the warm nights. Irene and Paco have really thought about everything you might need from a first aid kit to games and books. And the pool! It is just fab. We spent many hours lazing by it and swimming for a cool down. The location of the property is fab too if you’re looking for somewhere just to chill and relax. The surrounding mountains are a gorgeous backdrop. It’s not too far from Sierra Nevada, where we did a beautiful sunset hike. It’s only a short drive from the local amenities. An amazing cottage beautifully presented & equipped inside & out. Very private with a great pool for your exclusive use. Irene & Paco live next door, are very discreet but are close at hand if required. Eggs, bread, cake & pretty flowers greeted us on our arrival which was lovely. Irene’s attention to detail within the house providing little extras added to the overall experience… which was great!! A perfect place👌

Very cute, beautifully designed house in safe (gated) estate. Irene was such a lovely host, i felt very well taken care of. She provided eggs from her chicken and self-made cakes. The check-in and -out we’re flexible. I could not have been welcomed better. The house has everything you need, it’s one of those Airbnb houses that are just perfectly equipped. 5* !!!

This is a super property in a central location for exploring the mountains and White traditional villages in the Sierra Nevada region. It is also close enough to explore the coast which we did for two days. The house is cosy with a double bedroom and a twin bedroom. A large open plan lounge kitchen etc open onto a terrace & BBQ area. From here the pool is a short walk but cold in November, however it did not put me off a short swim each day the view of the mountains from the pool is fabulous. The house is immaculately clean and Irene left fresh flowers around the house as well as Fruit & drinks & eggs from her hens for us to use along with a late night snacks as we arrived so late with delays from the airport. Orgiva has all the essentials you need for shopping and the house is easy to find just outside of the town which was ideal for us. Irene has books & Games for visitors to use along with an amazing BBQ / Pizza oven area with logs provided which was super fun to use. Irene could not have been more helpful during our stay and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend this lovely home.
